frequently asked questions
short answers to things that come up a lot. for anything not covered, the support server is the place.
why isn't my feed posting?
a few things to check, in order:
- has the source actually posted recently? the bot can only deliver what exists.
- open the feed in the dashboard. an inactive badge means feedshift hasn't seen new content from that source for a while, which usually points at the source going quiet.
- check filters. require keywords or content type toggles can silently drop everything.
- check that feedshift still has permission to post in the destination channel.
- for x/twitter feeds, confirm the linked source account in server settings is still connected.
route a channel for error alerts in server settings so you hear about broken feeds before your community does.
is premium or pro per-server or per-account?
per-server. each server you want a paid plan on needs its own subscription.
can i move a subscription from one server to another?
cancel on the current server and subscribe on the new one. cancellation keeps the tier active until the end of the current period, so there's no gap if you time the switch.
how do i get a refund?
see the refunds policy for eligibility. requests go to billing@feedshift.io with your full name, last 4 digits of the payment method, and server id (run /server-id in discord to get it).
how do i switch which server i'm managing?
avatar menu, top right of the dashboard, then my servers. takes you back to the server list.
can i export a feed config and reuse it?
yes. on any feed, actions menu (top right of the feed page), export downloads json. import on another feed replaces its config with that json. useful for copying a tested setup between servers.
does feedshift see my x/twitter dms or private data?
no. the linked x account is only used to fetch posts for the feeds you've set up. data is encrypted at rest on uk and usa servers. if you want your own x account excluded from being followed by anyone via feedshift, see exclusions.
